Turning 50 Is Time for a New Mission

No it is not my birthday and no I am not yet half a century old.  But this is my 50th post and so I am going to use it for a special request to all who read my blog.

I am continuing a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in the 2013 Lavaman Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training (TNT). This is my fifth triathlon where I have raised funds for LLS. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.

I am hoping to exceed that goal in this fundraising campaign.  Please use the link below or the fundraising tab to the left to donate online quickly and securely. You will receive a confirmation of your donation by email and I will be notified as soon as you make your donation.

Each donation helps accelerate finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Nearly 958,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers.  I am hoping that my participation in Team In Training will help bring them hope and support.

On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you very much for your support.  I greatly appreciate your generosity.  As I have done in the past I will post blog articles on my progress.
